5-HTP (Griffonia Simplicifolia) as a miracle cure
Over the past 12 years, I have been striving to live my relationships responsibly and honestly. This is most evident in my willingness to embrace moments, not being afraid of my own feelings, and being open to sharing them with others. I dare to take risks and take responsibility because I believe that we alone are responsible for our own happiness or unhappiness. It’s a fact that ” Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
In my experience with relationships, it often happens that one person is seen as responsible for something, but the other never plays “just the victim role.” For years, I have been reading/listening to books and videos related to psychology, trying to surround myself with like-minded people. I’ve learned a lot and gained even more experience on the subject.
I’ve always been interested in the real reason behind why the other person did or didn’t do something, why they reacted in a way they shouldn’t have, or why something happened that I never wanted to happen. I was interested in the “why” because it allowed me to understand myself more deeply, understand the other person better, and gain a better understanding of the situation.
Understandably, there is never exclusively a “victim role” in relationship problems. What I mean by this is that even when it’s a fact that the other person’s behavior was hurtful and incorrect, or the relationship deteriorated because of the other party, it’s still worth examining our own reactions and feelings on the matter.
Over the years, I’ve done this multiple times and reached a point where I identified patterns in my past relationships that kept repeating, showing up again and again. So, I had to accept that I am responsible for these patterns, and it’s up to me to resolve them.
A year ago, I came across a book on Attachment Theory. There, I finally understood and got answers to everything, explaining why the same problems kept repeating.
Attachment styles come in 4 basic forms:
- Dismissive – Avoidant
- Fearful – Avoidant
- Anxious Attachment
- Secure Attachment
I probably have two attachment styles characteristic of me: Anxious and Secure.
Someone with Secure Attachment:
- Is secure in relationship
- Is generally supportive, available and open with her/his friends or partners
Someone with Anxious Attachment:
- Is generally highly self-sacrificing in order to “people-please”
- Fears rejection
- Has a strong fear of being abandoned
What is Attachment Theory Used For? It is useful in a variety of fields where predicting and understanding behavior is necessary. Although it is especially helpful when understanding romantic relationships, it can be applied to friendships, familial relationships and behavior in the workplace.
So, I figured out in what life situations I feel anxious and understood the reasons. Initially, it was in relationship situations, and then it extended to other areas of my life. Alongside these realizations, I went through a very challenging period. Over an extended period, I experienced a lot of stress in both relationship and friendship aspects, as well as in my work and career.
During this time, I came across an article on the internet about the potential positive effects of taking 5-HTP and L-Theanine in unexpected life situations. For example, it promotes a calm and relaxed mood and helps reduce occasional anxiety. Since I don’t take any medication or dietary supplements at all, I didn’t think I would need such a product.
By this time, I could already identify when and why I felt anxious, but somehow I couldn’t relax and get rid of it. My life had been characterized by a series of difficulties and traumas for such a long time that the balance probably tipped, and my body could only produce very small amounts of serotonin (happiness hormone). Instead, the cortisol (stress hormone) level increased due to the many shocks.
What did I actually feel during that period?
I felt like I wasn’t myself (since I’m usually always cheerful, positive, and helping others), I experienced indifference, constant fatigue, and exhaustion (even though I lead a very active and sporty life), and I was living day by day rather than thriving. I stressed about everything, overthought things, felt anxious… but I didn’t take care of myself, didn’t love myself enough, didn’t prioritize my feelings, and didn’t feel good at my workplace. This drastic period lasted for about a month.
In the meantime, I recalled what I had read about 5-HTP and L-Theanine earlier, and following my own logic, I thought that if I could slightly raise the serotonin level in my body with a natural dietary supplement, it might be easier to climb out of the dark, depressive hopelessness I was in. Of course, I didn’t expect miracles or a solution from the product; I knew that hard work and conscious, clear thinking were needed.
After deciding to give it a try, I found the dietary supplements 5-HTP + SAMe Stress & Mood and 5-HTP + L-Theanine Advance. I didn’t know what to expect from the product or what I was getting into, but after taking 1-2 capsules, I could already feel the effects, and after 4-5 capsules, I dared to say that the product was working. One serving contains 15 capsules, equivalent to half a month’s supply. This was just enough for me to regain my old self and see things more clearly around me.
I chose 5-HTP + L-Theanine Advance Capsule (with 5-HTP, SAMe, and extra L-Theanine component). It worked very well for my anxiety symptoms. Later, I took a short break, and I took another box, but I feel that I currently don’t need more.
Of course, every person and every life situation is different, and, most importantly, people react differently to the stress they experience. So, it goes without saying that an individually variable duration and quantity are needed to achieve the desired effect. This also depends on how disrupted the hormonal system was and how long the stressful situation persisted.
I am sure that without hesitation, in the future, I will continue to use these two dietary supplements in similar cases. What positive effects did I experience after taking the capsules, even after 2-3 days?
I was myself again; my zest for life returned. I respected my feelings, set new goals for the future, and laughed again. Just to be clear: the days passed the same way, the same problems arose, the same stressful period was present, but I reacted a bit more lightly to every negative, hurtful, and disruptive thing. I felt less anxious and overwhelmed, regained confidence, and perhaps the best word for it is that I became “more accepting.”
So, for all those who are in a somewhat similar situation and want to make a change, I highly recommend the 5-HTP + SAMe Stress & Mood capsules. The benefits of it:
